Pricing: Common Questions
All projects are fixed price, agreed in writing before any work begins. We send a detailed proposal within 2 working days of a discovery call, listing every deliverable, the total project fee and the payment schedule. There are no hourly rates and no surprise invoices.
Every store build includes: Shopify setup, theme configuration, Razorpay/PayU, GST and HSN setup, Shiprocket sync, COD with OTP, GA4 and Meta Pixel, on-page SEO foundation, team training, and 30 days of post-launch support. Add-ons like Klaviyo, custom apps or SEO retainers are scoped and quoted separately.
Per project, always. We do not charge hourly rates. Every engagement is scoped upfront as a fixed deliverable. Ongoing retainers for SEO, CRO or maintenance are priced as monthly flat fees, also agreed in writing before starting.
Payment terms depend on the project and are set out in your written proposal before you sign. The proposal states the amount and timing of each payment, tied to project milestones, so nothing about payment is decided verbally or changes after work starts.
Yes, for clients in India. Project fees are quoted exclusive of GST, and 18% GST is shown separately on the invoice. A GST invoice is provided for every payment, and registered businesses can usually claim it as input tax credit. If you are outside India, ask on the call and the tax treatment is stated in your proposal.
Yes. Cognito IT is based in Bangalore and works with D2C brands worldwide. The pricing model is the same everywhere: a free discovery call, then a fixed-price written proposal within 2 working days. Calls are scheduled in your timezone.
